![]() They are extremely talented in their field and it has shown. The Neebs Gaming crew(or previously, Hank & Jed Productions), are known professional voice actors, writers, and animators, with backgrounds in fields that have developed their skills. I understand where you are coming from, however I wouldn't have suggested anyone unless I was 100% sure of their abilities. Sorry for being maximum triggered, but this is a subject I am extremely passionate about. Taking someone from the community to record some lines was a mistake in other games (see DotA2, Starcraft2), it will be a mistake here. ![]() You can't just take random lets players from youtube. ![]() Voice acting is a respectable profession. I would like to hear what you guys think of this idea. It could be for a radio call, easter egg, NPC. At this point, it would be foolish to not at least reach out to them with a proposition to do a few VO lines for the game. Recently, they have created a cinematic series on 7 Days To Die, which among the numerous let's plays of this game I have seen since alpha 6, is without a doubt the best. They have been known to do voice over work in some of the games they play, from Battlefield 4 to Subnautica. If by chance you are unfamiliar with them, they are a small crew of animators, voice actors, and gamers that have been on YouTube for quite a while. At some point upon watching it, my brain sparked and idea: what if the Fun Pimps got the Neebs Gaming crew to do a few lines of voice over work in the 7 Days To Die? As I was thinking about the possibilities, I noticed a new episode of my favorite 7 Days To Die series was out. So far, I have been impressed with the VO work already done in 7 Days To Die and can't wait to see where it goes. Not bad, just different.Voice acting is an element to game design that I believe draws the line between a cheap feeling indie game and a starter-level AAA title. It’s just harder when it’s a sequel series because there’s so much less to bumble through and figure out, so the pacing and the interactions and the whole thing feels.different. Their Raft series was unique because the “season 2” of the series actually did take them to new content, where they had need and opportunity to do their usual bumbling and bickering as they figured it all out. I felt the same way when they brought back 7 Days To Die (and in a much more stretched out sense, the progress of their ARK series). The guys know what they’re doing, they’ve got the initial learning curve out of the way, and because they don’t need it AND more importantly the audience has already seen it, it’s feels harder to make engaging content about harvesting resources, basic building, and other more mundane elements of the game. ![]() It’s a sequel series in a sequel game, so there’s some need to skip “the boring” and push harder through the game content. So that does factor, but I think the real difference is: The original game did give you more “room to breath” in pursuing the story, whereas Below Zero uses more in-game cutscenes and dialogue.
